The SSCCC Advocacy Academy brought together over 500 community college student leaders for an immersive weekend focused on leadership, advocacy, and civic engagement. Attendees participated in skill-building workshops led by student leaders, SSCCC alumni, and policy experts, gaining practical tools in public speaking, organizing, and legislative advocacy.
Throughout the Academy, students engaged in thoughtful discussions on key statewide and federal issues impacting community college students and strengthened their ability to advocate confidently with decision-makers at both the local and national levels. The collaboration and commitment demonstrated by participants highlighted the depth of student leadership across the system.
