Voting is one of the most powerful ways to make your voice heard and create change in your community. As student leaders, advocates, and changemakers, you have the unique ability to mobilize your peers and help build a more engaged and informed student electorate.

That’s why the Student Senate for California Community Colleges is excited to share our Get Out The Vote (GOTV) Toolkit—a student-focused resource created to support and empower efforts to increase voter participation across California.

How You Can Use the Toolkit:

• Register and Educate Your Peers: Use our registration guides and AB 963 resources to help students understand how, when, and where to vote—especially important for first-time voters.
• Host GOTV Events: Organize voter registration drives, tabling events, or workshops in partnership with student clubs and campus departments.
• Use Social Media to Mobilize: Share our graphics, hashtags, and messaging to promote key deadlines, early voting, and election day information.
• Center Student Voices: Share testimonies or your own story to inspire others to vote and be part of the democratic process.
• Track and Share Your Impact: Let us know how your efforts are going—your feedback helps strengthen civic engagement campaigns across the state.
