Whereas, Some community colleges currently lack the technology necessary to provide online courses; and,

Whereas, California Community Colleges have recently been forced to turn thousands of students away due to a lack of available space in classes; and,

Whereas, Online courses could increase the capacity for students without the need for utilizing more physical space on campus; and,

Whereas, Implementation of a centralized online course system for California Community Colleges is already in progress.

Resolved, That the Student Senate for California Community Colleges support that California Community Colleges acquire technology necessary to provide more online courses; and,

Resolved, That the Student Senate for California Community Colleges support the creation of centralized online courses in California Community Colleges wherever possible, so that students who would normally be turned away may be accommodated.
